I have longed for some time to go to Asheville, NC. It is absolutely one of my favorite travel destinations. It is only about a 2 hour drive from where I am. I haven’t been there in a while–at least a few years.  It is a nice place to just unwind, detox your mind from all of the negative crap on the news and toxic people who call themselves my friends and family.    Some people just don’t know how to turn off the negativity and enjoy life.

Since Asheville isn’t in the cards, one way I detox is to do something really relaxing. I’m talking about a daily pamper me session that does not require a bunch of money or even a lot of time. There is no need to head to the spa for this.

Imagine a nice hot bubble bath in a nice deep soaking tub. I have heard so many excuses over the past few days of reasons not to take a bubble bath.  I mean really? You are afraid of your tub? Clean it. You don’t fit in the tub? Liar. Those little tubs may not be the biggest or most comfortable, but they do the trick.

Stop the worry.  Draw a bath, add bath salts, light a few scented candles and you are ready for ultimate relaxation.  For those of you who don’t know what bath salts are, let me tell you.  Bath salts soften your water while enveloping you in a soothing scent.  Natural salts (kosher, celtic sea salt, epsom salt, course sea salts) are usually scented with essential oils providing therapy to the highest power very reasonably.  Just thinking about it is making me want to go hop in the tub. Do you have a pamper me ritual or a great way to relax at the end of the day?

Ahhhh escaping to the mountains….I totally agree with you in that Asheville is absolutely beautiful and unfortunately it’s not in the cards of us either. But my pamper me ritual is to have my “mountain music” playing – soft sounds – water going over the rocks, wind blowing, and my Gold Canyon aromatherapy candles lit with a bubble bath. Only wish I could open a window and have that cold air come in! LOL Your bath salts sounds interesting..and afterwards we have an incredible product called EMERGE………great way to pamper oneself afterwards.
