I’m jet-setting across the country. Right now I am in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. It even snowed here a little bit today. I love the snow, but it was totally unexpected.
I’ve eaten some great food and experienced majestic places. One such place is the Mayflower Hotel. It was phenomenal. I was floored when the MC announced that if you went out the front door of the hotel and smoked, that you would not be allowed back in the building. Can we say image control?
That got me to thinking, we need to be as dilligent about our own images as that of corporations. We ourselves are a brand. People look at us for who we are, but as well as what we look like. This is another reason we are changing the host of our website. It doesn’t matter if the content is good, if the packaging isn’t appealing.
I wish I had access to a personal shopper and image consultant. In lieu of that, does anyone have ideas on how to get started on the personal makeover?
Image is everything and I need a makeover.
